Requirement

The customer has developers globally located accessing the environment on a daily basis. The requirement was to have a centralized user management console from where they could control the server access to the users at the same time enabling secure channel to access the servers. The customer had Office365 accounts for all users specifically for email and other license assignments

Solution Brief

The experts from DevOpSpace team analyzed the current approach they use for the user management and the way the dev team access the servers.
Post analysis, the team concluded to have an AD server which sync further with their current O365. By this way, the user management is restricted through the local AD server.
And for the secure access to the servers, the team enabled AWS client VPN connections integrated with AWS directory service AD Connect to make sure that the users who have valid and active AD credentials are only allowed to access the server.

While their internal IT team manages the Azure infrastructure at the basic level, they wanted a reliable team to support them on the complex activities like VPN enablement, best practices implementation, security hardening etc.

DevOpSpace partnered with this customer and undertook the responsibility of implementing security and network solutions on Azure.
The customer has multiple Azure subscriptions where they have hosted the banking application for different banks.
Couple of our implementations include auto-failover of VPN tunnel in Azure, AD user management with MFA, firewall configuration etc.
While another third party communications organization helped them with express route setup at the network level, we helped them in configuring the express route setup at Azure end, and connecting and enabling communication between Azure vNet and onpremise network.

Solution Brief

DevOpSpace possessing both infrastructural and developmental skillset analysed the complete requirement on Day 1.
Based on that, the team came up with a list of modules, timelines and cost estimation both for the application development as well as for AWS infrastructure.
The team started with the architectural discussions and then the wireframe design before the actual development. We also made sure that AWS cloud is leveraged for the application scalability and performance.
Once the phase 1 development is completed, the application was deployed on AWS.

The original files which are uploaded from different locations are critical to the organization, and so, they needed a backup solution.

Solution Brief

DevOpSpace, being their preferred infrastructure partner provided them with our own backup solution.
The backup solution is installed on the server, which then monitors the folder or drive for any changes within the same.
The solution keeps track of incremental or block level changes of the files and backs them up to AWS cloud (customer owned environment), ensuring that the files are available always even in case of a server or disk failure.

There are couple of database instances (with multiple schemas) which are running in production environment and should be migrated with the minimal downtime ever possible. Adding to the complexity, the databases were of few TB’s in size.

Solution Brief

DevOpSpace was part of the entire project as a sub-contractor organization providing the service to the contracting organization.
We started by understanding the overall scope, the source DB setup and architecting the target environment on AWS.
We also ensured that we have the right information about the schema sizes, the foreign keys, indexes etc at the source side while planning out the migration.
We made use of AWS Database Migration Service for the full load migration as well as the continuous replication of the DB, and then did manual import of foreign keys, indexes etc.
The target DB was validated by the customer application team prior to the cutover.
